Thank you.
Salient, well made points like this are generated by free discussion, not the censorship, damnation and dog-piling of JClist.
Phil Kenny is all of the above but he is also from an old school JC Political family ( John V'Kenny ).  It would make sense for Steve Fulop to court him (as he did with that other old school JC family The Donnellys).  As that is the case then it should be a legitimate cause for discourse on Fulop and if he really does represent change.  (I think he does but that is my personal view).

CrazyforJC -

Both of my threads about phil kenny campaiging for fulop have been taken down, can someone explain

dtjcview -

Webmaster will have sent you an email to your registered email account. Or check your inbox - scroll down on LHS of homepage. Read it.

Webmaster (aka Dan Falcon, aka Dan Prussack) -

And you are banned from posting. Check your Private Messages for an explanation. It has to do with starting a New Topic containing hearsay and accusations about Councilman Fulop.

If your post is removed check the inbox on the lower left of the screen to see if we sent you are reason why. When your post is removed the proper response is NOT to post the same thing again.

crazyforJC -

I checked last night and now nothing. I imagine that since its truth I spoke, and fulop pays a lot of advertising on the site that its been removed because it looks bad for him. No contact from site yet, I emailed them. Nothing in my post can violate the tos of jclist so I wnt an explanation

crazyforJC - I can name all who were with him. Its reliable info

almost every store with power in the heights is allowing people to charge...in fact one store even set up extra power strips outside (palisade/congress) and another (hutton/palisade) set up chairs in their little cafe area for people to hang out while a girl greeted people at the door asking if they were okay and needed anything, all without asking people to purchase items.

pretty damn nice if you ask me, however there are places near journal square that charge $5 for cell phone recharges when there is not a national disaster.

To clarify, I was just reposting a post from JClist, whence the quotation marks and it being posted in a thread devoted to JClist and Falcon's shady shenanigans.
I had no idea that Made With Love was the epicenter of community spirit in question.

Further proof that love is expensive.

So why didn't you post the names here?  Is your post about slamming JCList or the stores that charge a fee to charge a cell phone.  I think the former, as you did not mention the stores that charge in your post, only that ShopRite is doing it for free.  At least its an option if you dont want to wait on line and waste half a day to charge your cell phone.  I would gladly pay 1 dollar for this convenience.

I have posted two comments about a certain business charging $1 to allow people to charge their cell phones. Both comments have been removed without any explanation.

This business is a Jersey City business and I think the visitors to this forum should at least be aware. Everywhere else I look people are taking their shirts off their backs for their fellow neighbors. Even ShopRite is allowing customers to sit at the front and back of each aisle to charge their phones.

As I stated in my second comment, if there was somehow a valid reason for this charge then post a reply to my comment, don't just remove mine. It doesn't inspire an open environment."

Yeah, notice how he initially claims I am being insensitive about people who might suffer in the hurricane, but when I question why i have to pay him money he changes tack and claims that i might seriously be about to loot 99cent dream.

You can post that if you post your name Jason and your last name and your photo so that business owners know who to be on the loookout for in case of an emergency. And the $20.00 is so that if the police contact me for your information it helps pay for my headace of dealing with the situation.

Dan Falcon (imagine Frankenstein's monster played by Christopher Lloyd) is a grade A moron who also tried to extort money from me after removing a joke I made about looting 99cent dream and c-town during hurricane earl.

I mean, what's you're reasoning here?

Most consider hurricane Earl to be serious; too many of you are making comments that are insensitve to others.
What kind of mind do you have where you can joke about the nightmare others are experiencing right now. It does not matter if there is a one in a million chance of this Hurricane hitting Jersey City, NJ; many here know people that are getting hurt.
What is your reasoning? It is not a full moon and I do not do drugs.

But up until this point you acknowledged that you took my comment the way it was intended, as a joke. How can you simultaeneously maintain that it was both a joke, your stated reason for deletion, and a serious threat to local businesses, even though I was clear I would not be looting stores.

Webmaster wrote:
I said it was insensitive. An anonymous person posting about looting cannot be assumed by all to be a joke. C Town and 99cent stores are a prime target for looters.
A normal person would have let this conversation end by now.

Slacky wrote:
What if I re-post it and add a proviso that makes it very clear that it is a humorous observation and I in no way condone or intend to loot any stores?

Webmaster wrote:
Yes please post but make sure you pay the $20.00 before you post it. And if it takes this many Private Messages for us to make $20.00 then next time it will be $50.00.

And if you complain about paying you will be banned.

Slacky wrote:
Thank you for your understanding and being so reasonable about this.
Is the picture/address option still open to me?

Webmaster wrote:
I will be at the zoning meeting tonight at city hall 280 grove street between 6-8pm. You can recognize me because I will be filming the meeting. I will take your picture and look at your drivers license for your name. After that you can post your joke about looting businesses in Jersey City.

Next time there will only be the Pay option for you to post insensitive jokes about a potential disaster. The price will be $50.00

*I think at this point he jacked the amount of money up, i asked if he had a tax number and he banned me.

Published: Saturday, October 06, 2012, 12:01 AM     Updated: Saturday, October 06, 2012, 12:02 AM By Agustin C. Torres/The Jersey Journal

BORING CAN BE A MORTAL SIN

A poster on a Jersey City-centric online message board is crying out about being banned from posting on the site, an action he claims is punishment for his posts criticizing Ward E Councilman Steve Fulop.

The man, who posted on JC List under the handle JC Free, has written 37 posts on the message board since April 2011. The vast majority of those were posted since August 2012, and nearly all have an anti-Fulop flavor.

"It's not what Fulop says, it's what he believes he can get away with that counts," reads one JC Free post from Aug. 25, while in another he mocks Fulop's "brand of reform." Other JC List posters who engaged with JC Free accused him of being a plant for Mayor Jerramiah Healy's re-election campaign.

Dan Falcon, a JC List moderator, insists the poster's problem is not his bias against Fulop, but the sheer volume and monotony of his attacks.

"We welcome attacks on Fulop, Healy and others," Falcon wrote in an email. "However, the main problem was the repetitive attacks within a short period of time by one person against one politician. If it was a person who was attacking Healy in the same manner they will also be banned."

The poster, who asked not to be identified, received an email on Sept. 19 from Falcon saying he was not permitted to post on JC List anymore. The man claims the email came after JC List deleted one of his anti-Fulop posts.

"You are welcome to post again as long as you PAY first. After all this is Jersey City and you will PAY TO PLAY," Falcon writes in the email, a copy of which was obtained by The Jersey Journal.

Falcon adds that if the poster sends $10,000 via online money-transfer service PayPal, he'd be able to post again.

The poster, who declined to call The Jersey Journal or verify his identity, contacted the paper via an email account that matches the one JC List used to ban him from posting.

JC List's FAQ section stipulates that the site is moderated, and that posts "may be eliminated at any time."

"Repetitive posts, personal attacks, spam, excessive free advertising, slander, and other objectionable or inappropriate information may be removed from this site," the FAQ reads.

Nonetheless, JC Free feels his ban from JC List is unwarranted and politically motivated. "It's upsetting that an admin, clearly aligned with Fulop, has chosen to silence me in this fashion, instead of responding with truth and honesty on a so-called open forum," he writes in an email.

So dear readers, what do you think? Troll's opinion or does he have a right to his point of view, many times? Don't forget that the forum he chose is a private entity.
