So there's an election Tuesday, lots of bandwidth wasted on Exalted Leader, but not so much on the more important local issues.
Two state questions:
1) Should gambling be permitted in two add'l counties outside of AC with 2 more Casi
NOs?
2) Should the entire proceeds of the petroleum products tax be dedicated to Transportation?
Two City questions:
1) Eliminate a unique election day for JC, hold elections concurrently with the National/State election day (Tuesday after the first Monday in November)
2) Add $0.02 per $100 valuation to property tax for recreation/conservation/historic purposes (that's an extry $20 on a $100k assessed property).
Finally, 3 seats are open on the nine member Board of Education, noe of the 3 incumbents are running. 8 of the 10 candidates are running as members of a slate.

Finally, remember, rights not exercised are at risk of being lost, and this being Hudson County, if you don't vote, someone else just might vote for you!!
