gotta interject with my own experience with Accomplished, based on thebes' recommendations of high praise on JCList. Never met a more belligerent contractor in my life, and all over the audacious request for a written estimate. The guy who came to the house, who had been very sweet and friendly up until that point, got nasty, as did his supervisor at the office, who i called afterward. If you're fond of being cursed at for asking for a written estimate before having major work performed, these are the guys for you.http://jclist.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=5721&forum=15&post_id=90976#forumpost90976)We had Capitol come out to give us an estimate on replacing a small flat roof, and to take a look at our gutters. Still waiting on the estimate, but the guy was very nice to deal with, and they were where they said they'd be, when they said they'd be there. Sort of surprised on the delay in getting the estimate, but still holding out, based on the high praise from fasteddie and others.
My vote is for Accomplished because they stuck with us through all of our leaking problems. We had multiple leak issues that are finally gone. Accomplished, once paid, does not disappear... they even came out once at 3 am and continued to work with us 7 months after they finished the roof to make sure the leaks were gone. Leaky houses are a pain in the ass!!! I'm never moving now that this problem is finally solved. My advice is to ask around and find out the companies record for responding to emergency calls after they have been paid in full.Like cyclotronic posted, "you get what you pay for". We originally went the cheap route, which turned into the even more expensive route.
