First, the bad news: the pork belly poutine is no longer on the menu.  :(

The good news, however, is that the real menu (not the one currently online) has been greatly expanded and now showcases what the chef has been known for: hearty, tasty New American comfort food with unexpected flavors that hits the spot. Darna and I shared the meatball appetizer (v. good), I had the rib eye steak (great char) and she had an out-of-this-world paella with chorizo, chicken and shrimp. Our two friends also enjoyed their entrees.

so exciting to see pork belly poutine on the menu at the iron monkey--a variation on au pied du cochon's foie gras poutine variation?  can't wait to try it!

I don't know exactly when this happened but Iron Monkey, now no longer a regular live music venue, is back to being a full-service restaurant. They even managed to snag Ian Kapitan, formerly of Marco & Pepe and Light Horse Tavern, as head chef.

YAY!  Now I can go there safely without fear or anxiety of live music.  Phew!

Let's plan a nice dinner on the rooftop sometime soon!

Yeah, and the new menu is a joke compared to what we know this guy can do.
