Just finished Kingsley Amis' "Lucky Jim" and Kobo Abe's "The Face of Another"

Currently reading:

Kate Grenville - The Secret River
Manuel de Landa - A New Philosophy of Society

on deck:

Ian McEwan - On Chesil Beach
Michael Chabon - The Yiddish Policemen's Union
Simon Schama - Landscape and Memory

...never understood distinguishing between summer reading and otherwise....

If you're suffering from post-Potter depression, I hear good things about Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. My own recommendation is Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. A work of absolute genius and new addition to my top 5 books ever.

Just got the Don Rickles memoir, but given the large type and spacing, should be done within a few Path rides. Also picked up Five-Finger Discount.

Any other suggestions for summer reading?
