A solo exhibition of Digital Prints and Paintings by Jersey City artist, Beatrice M. Mady, will be on display at the John Meagher Rotunda Gallery, City Hall, 280 Grove Street, Jersey City, NJ. The exhibition runs from March 9 - 31. The Opening Reception is March 9 from 6 - 8 PM
Ms. Mady’s work is inspired by nature. Her pieces evolve around a dialogue between the drawn form and color. Line and color, spontaneous gesture and calculated marks, organic and geometric shapes are all elements that coalesce into a complex internal structure. Her layering of color can be likened to the layers of consciousness or the veils of reality. Vivien Rayor states “Ms. Mady composes in clear colors filling in her large canvases with essentially the same arrangement of rectangles dominated by one large shape with biomorphic contours.”
