can we consolidate some of the sections?

"Why doesn't everyone else do what I think they should?"

If you think about it, that title covers a lot of ground.

Oh, so you expect us to actually READ and Understand what/where we're posting?  This is the internet, we don't need no comprehension, it's just a place to digitally preserve those imprecations and ejaculations that would normally blow away in the wind.

Can some of the sections be combined, it's kind confusing there are 3 separate "real estate" sections alone. 

Jersey City » Real Estate - Thread for general discussion and questions, e.g., "Is the area near the Pathmark on Bright Street safe for renters?" or "My apartment smells like frying oil from the Chinese restaurant below. Help!"

Classifieds » Real Estate - Section to list your house/condo/apartment/parking space for sale/rent or to advertise that you are looking for same.

Business Directory » Real Estate - Contact information and discussion thread for large real estate developments (high-rises, converted pencil factories, etc.)

That said, post to whichever Real Estate section you feel like and the admins/mods will move it to the appropriate thread as needed. We won't ridicule or otherwise alienate you like Dan Falcon does. And unlike other Jersey City message boards, this site has a functional and occasionally useful Search feature (try it!) so chances are you will find what you're looking for without too much fuss.

But......but then there would be fewer sections! How can you have fewer sections? No, what we need is MORE sections. A section for everything and everything in its section. And another thing, we need to get rid of the "general" section. I don't deal in generalities. Why, just the other day I found an interesting article on a newly discovered subspecies of the Lepidoptera species but I could not post it because there is no section for subspecies of lepidoptera! In fact there isn't even a general Lepidoptera species section at all! And not only that, there isn't even a pets or animal section! See what I'm saying? We need MORE sections not less. The forum topic list should read like the index to the goddamn Encyclopedia Britannica if you ask me.

I do think a case can be made for some kind of consolidation.  I ask my fellow mods and admins, is there a specific argument against having at least the classifieds combined into one section?
