They, as well as others, do go in those bins. I have caught them in the action and now refuse to put my clothes there. There are ladies who swarm around the bins near ShopRite and I imagine they sell what they can.
Does anyone ever have sidewalk sales in the area? I've seen in NY neighbors get together and have "garage" sales and call it sidewalk sales. Fun idea. It's too bad there aren't enough people doing good these days.
Thanks. What I really want to do is take these items (clean obviously) to a family shelter. As you pointed out, you never exactly know who will turn around and sell them. i'm sure everyone has a reason as to why they do the things they do. I know I can try to do that to make some extra $ but it's just easier for me to donate and give someone something to wear if they are in need. Does anyone ever have sidewalk sales in the area? @bobblehead - thank you. you provided the help i was looking for. i didn't know enough about VVA until i went to the website.
You might as well just give them to Paco and Taco then. Quote from: Bobblehead on 04-23-2012, 01:26pmI would think a women's shelter, or maybe a program that emphasizes transitioning from welfare to work might be a good place to look for. Or you can just put them in the Red Cross bin near the firehouse on Marin.

Hi. I have three bags full of gingerly worn women and men clothing. Size 2-4 in women. I have no idea where I can drop these items off - no car and bags are heavy. Any thoughts? I was hoping I could take them to a family shelter of some kind but again, no car. Any ideas? Thanks.
