The 2012 NHL Entry Draft will take place on June 22-23 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 50th installment of the draft, this is also the first time Pittsburgh will host the event since 1997.
After winning the 2012 NHL Draft Lottery, the Edmonton Oilers moved up from the second pick to the first pick and will have many players to choose from. The top prospects for this year's draft include RW Nail Yakupov, D Ryan Murray, C Mikhail Grigorenko, C Alex Galchenyuk, D Morgan Rielly, D Cody Ceci, C Radek Faksa, and D Olli Maatta.
