Thanks Woodsy and Soshin for your input. I guess I am going to "interview" a couple pediatricians (if they do that).

Soshin...I am a firm believer in less intervention, so it sounds like Tribeca will suit me well...though you are right...when it is a sick baby I have no idea how I will react.

CD - I can't wait to see J flustered like that!

They do not have parking and their Hamilton Park office is very small which does not allow for a sick vs. well waiting area.

The Mrs. and I opted for Riverside pediatrics.  They have a location in the Heights which has good hours and parking and their location in Secaucus is open 8AM to Midnight 365 days a year.  Their office is much older and not as pretty as the Tribeca location but it's larger, has separate well vs. sick areas and even has a special waiting room for children under 1 year old.  Riverside also offered a prenatal class in Secaucus which we found to be very informative.  Best of all the class was free to all, regardless of whether you ultimately choose to use them as your pediatricians.

I have seen many young couples attending pre-natal education class there.  The males all look uneasy and ztare at the goodies i am bringing home from MCW.

Sounds to me that they are a bunch of sadistic doctors and nurses who prefer to see children in agony.

I like them.

Yeah.  We used them in Tribeca before they opened up in HP and we now go to that office.  Highly recommended.

One thing to realise though is that their style isn't for everyone, they have a philosophy that "less medicine is often the best medicine", which means that unlike some other pediatricians, they don't dole out anti-biotics like candy.  This might sound like common sense but believe me, when you are a new parent and your kid is sick, the tendancy is to say "gimmie the pills", anything that makes poor baby feel better.

You can read more of their style here.

Darna: could someone please splain to me why a person in a gang is called a gangbanger but a gangbang has nothing to do with gang activity?

shahaggy: can't believe I'm saying this but +1 jehu

[02:58 PM] MCA: it's not stalking, it's caring enough to find out things she won't tell you herself

[01:35 PM] shahaggy: fine but jehu's correct

TheFang: as much as it pains me to say, jehu might be right.

One time, I hired a monkey to take notes for me in class. I would just sit back with my mind completely blank while the monkey scribbled on little pieces of paper. At the end of the week, the teacher said, "Class, I want you to write a paper using your notes." So I wrote a paper that said, "Hello! My name is Bingo! I like to climb on things! Can I have a banana? Eek, eek!"

Hello there!

Does anyone go to Tribeca Pediatrics on Hamilton Park?
I am looking for any reviews you have of the facility and doctors.

Thank you  :)
